AWESOME OVEN!!

I looked at a lot of different wall ovens and was looking for reliability more then anything and found GE to be the best. I replaced this one with a 30 year old 27 inch RCA which never worked right. I decided to step up to this model which has the convention feature in it. The only issue is the convention feature takes two more inches up in the back up the stove which was not a big deal for me.The bottom line if you want a good reliable oven that bakes super well then I would go with this one!

Bosch oven a disaster

The Bosch oven is so highly electronic, that it is like trying to maintain a delicate scientific instrument. It regularly crashes (even after replacing the circuit board, which itself was unavailable from Bosch for over a year!). I have spent as much having the oven repaired as the original price--even the repair people say it is a VERY high maintenance appliance, and that Bosch customer service is not very responsive. I would not recommend a Bosch appliance to anyone.

Bosch has lots of computer board problems with their ovens and no warranty support, be prepared to pay up front for the product and keep paying in repairs

This is a think less oven. I turn it on, don't preheat, put whatever in, push the fast preheat button and I'm set. Perfect every time. Would like to read the manual for more "tricks" but just cooked my turkey and it came out perfect.

Before buying this oven do a thorough search on all reviews about it. Be aware that the broiler will come on DURING cooking if the oven door is open for more than 30 seconds. This means that if you open the door to baste your holiday bird, it will go up in smoke once you close the oven door. Ours did just that--caught fire. This is a serious design flaw, and further constitutes a fire hazard in our home.Judging from the amount of complaints on various sites (Consumer Affairs, Buzzillions, E-pinions) regarding this issue, and others (such as glass doors exploding during self-cleaning, lack of company responsiveness), which, unfortunately, we discovered after buying the oven, potential buyers would do well to steer clear of this appliance. We would have done exactly that if we had done our research, instead of allowing ourselves to be influenced by what the KitchenAid Brand used to stand for (our old KitchenAid appliances had long, happy, uneventful lives), and wooed by the superficial beauty of the appliances.Caveat Emptor.

2 years of use but now replacement for a small part- BEWARE!

We've owned this oven for over 2 years and though its use is infrequent, it's a great oven which we enjoy using. However, one of the oven lights burned out and its replacement per Electrolux parts dept. means buying a much larger part which costs between 55-67 dollars. It's ridiculously expensive and wasteful to have to buy a larger part to simply change a burned-out bulb. Since the part shown as the replacement has wires, it would seem to require taking some of the oven body apart or have some special tools and skills- or... incur the additional expense of having an installer come over.It took a lot of research to discover it's a 40 watt halogen bulb- impossible to find this info on the bulb itself, in the oven or in the literature provided or on the web.We eventually found a 35 watt double loop, G9 base bulb to replace the faulty one, cost: about 10$ It works just fine for way less. (Be sure to handle the bulb with tissue paper or cloth and not with bare hands when installing it.)We only hope the other oven parts don't go out and cause such a problem. It seems the company wants us to purchase unnecessarily costly replacement parts. Not good for our pockets or the environment.

Cheap product with big price tag

I bought this oven four years ago and already the digital read out for temperature control is burning out. It will cost me $284.18 to replace the clock assembly. We called customer service and told us to buy a warranty. I don't like the way the oven racks are made as they are difficult to remove when you want to adjust the height of the shelves and the bottom of the oven buckled & warped after using the self cleaning option. I also bought an Electolux top of the line dishwasher at the same time & I won't go into all the trouble I've had with that!

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money on this oven. It does not cook evenly, the timer is a pain in the a** to use...you have to hit timer then hold the button to count down from 59minutes. To make the timer quiet you have to hit the minute or hour button once...if you hit it more than once the time on your clock gets messed up.This oven is in a house that my husband and I just bought...I am looking to replace it ASAP. I tried baking my Christmas cookies in it and they are burnt on the bottom and white on top...I put the cookies in my convection oven microwave and they cook beautifully. The temperature fluctuates GREATLY with this oven. Also, it doesn't tell you when it is preheated...there is just a red light that goes on and off when the heating element kicks in.half of the baking pans I had don't fit in this oven. A turkey pan SQUEEZES in.you can only cook with food on one rack, you can't use 2...it will cook horrible, even if you rotate and switch the pans.
