It's better than nothing.

It's adequate and that's as good as it gets. the frame is too big even for my 7 7/8 size caps. The shipper and Amazon were great. The manufacturer is the problem.

Not as revolutionary as I hoped.

We ordered this because my fiance and I both tend to wear hats during our workouts. This means that we have the need to wash quite a few hats on a frequent basis. This seemed like an excellent way to wash the hat without losing the shape. We will likely keep looking.First of all, the bottom section that fits inside the hat is very large. It was difficult to get his hats to sit on it properly and his head is larger than mine.Secondly, it isn't very sturdy so when you snap it shut the hat still wants to curl up a bit at the brim. Also, it is rather difficult to open and close due to the cheap construction.Lastly, the top rack of the dishwasher sounded like a great idea since it would prevent all the tumbling and crushing the hat normally receives in our front-load washing machine. But if you wash your hat in the dishwasher you have to wait a very long time for it to air dry unless you plan to toss it into the dryer. We did this and it popped open.All in all, I don't believe this is the solution to easier washing that also maintains the shape of the cap.

Nice idea but fairly useless

This is supposed to work in the washing machine or the dishwasher. It may or may not work well in the dishwasher but it fails horribly in the washer. The hat comes out and whatever else you wash with it gets tangled up in the Ball Cap Buddy. Finally, this may speak more to how dirty my hats are than to the use of the Buddy but none of my hats have been much better after cleaning.
