Warning! Terrible packaging from MFG.

I read previous reviews, but ordered anyway thinking it was just some isolated cases of shipping damage. Wrong! I don't blame the shipper. The fault lies with the maker, Danby. Their packaging is terrible and invites easy damage. Mine came with 3 of the legs crushed into the lower body of the freezer. The packing for the bottom had a thin strip of foam and nothing else. It also took them 2 weeks to ship it. Consider another freezer.

Great Deal

First of all I would ignore the 1 star review ,that's a shipping problem not a product issue.Mine arrived without a scratch. I paid $160 and free shipping being a prime member. Compact design takes up very little floor space. Looks nice also. Gave 4 stars because I've only had a short time but it's performing well.

Bad packaging

This freezer arrived with multiple dents and dings. Some were very sizable. Amazon offered to replace it but instead I negotiated a price adjustment. Based on my experience and other reviews it seems that Danby doesn't adequately cushion and package the freezer. Tip: preserve the shipping box so that if you have to return it you have a box. It's tricky to remove it without destroying the box.
