1 Week after install, and very pleased

We purchased this range because we wanted to avoid the electronic touchpad interfaces. After replacing 3 boards on 2 different ovens with those touch pads, we were D-O-N-E with that.The Bertazzoni can be lit with a match if you don't have power (both the burners and the oven). I have had no problem lighting the burners or the oven in the normal manner, it seems identical to our last stove. The procedure is: Press & turn the knob, hear the clicking, hear the whoosh, and let go. Bingo, you're done.The oven has one safety feature which is very nice, the door never gets hot. There is a fan blowing fresh air in between the door panel (between the inside of the door and the outside), so it keeps the outer surface of the door cool (or at most, slightly warm). This does cause warm air to blow into the kitchen when the oven is on. We use the overhead vent hood on low & that keeps the kitchen from getting warm on hot days. It will be a nice feature in the winter. But if you live in a tropical environment then this would be annoying. For anyone with kids or curious pets, though, it's nice that the oven door never gets hot.One other consideration - the lowest oven temp is 270F. We don't cook anything below that, but if you wanted to use it for a dehydrator this is not the oven for you. The burner power is amazing, the high output burner is great at getting water to boil quickly. And the simmer burner can hold a very low temperature. It has only been 1 week so we're still getting to know the stove in some ways (we still have a thermometer in the oven to be sure it's at the right temp) but we are very, very happy with the purchase.

We purchased this range about a year ago when we did a total remodel on our kitchen. After tons of research, we selected the Bertazzoni. We love its look, but more importantly, we LOVE THE WAY IT PERFORMS!. Burners are a good size and allow variation for pot size and heat range. The oven is large, and heats evenly ( although, in the beginning it's a little tricky to light) Convection makes a little noise, but you don't really notice it, unless you listen for it. We are extremely happy with this purchase.

Many Problems

I purchased my oven a few years ago so maybe (hopefully) they've fixed some of their issues, but this oven was the single biggest regret in our apartment renovation.Firstly, the pressure regulator came installed backwards which took several visits from the gas company to discover. As a result, we were unable to use the oven for months after it was purchased.Secondly, one of the burners keeps malfunctioning. I had this fixed once under warranty but the problem keeps resurfacing and was obviously not fixed properly or was too difficult to correctly diagnose.Finally, the glue used to seal the glass on the front window keeps running down the inside of the window panel. Despite several tries to take the door apart and clean it, the problem continues to return and now the door doesn't close as smoothly as it once did. This particularly annoys my wife. Which in turn annoys me greatly.I'd suggest going with a more established brand, or being very aggressive with their customer service as soon as you experience any issues.
