Great Oven

Very glad we selected Electrolux, the quality is notch and looks great installed, the blue interior sets it off and the ball bearing glide racks are so nice and have openings for grabing with an oven mit, this feature was the main reason we initally considered Electrolux. Touch pad is really cool, lots of other unique features we are looking forward to using like the Dehydrateor. If considerating other ovens, the Electrolux is well worth the extra investment in the long run, buy quality.

2 years and 6 control panels later.....

Electrolux has finally replaced my wall oven. I have to say that when the previous unit was actually functional, it was wonderful. Very fast, near-perfect results on souffles, puff pastry, gougeres, Thanksgiving turkey, hearth bread, enriched bread, pizza. A few problems with the cooking results-- the Thanksgiving turkey bent the oven rack, causing it to magically roll towards me in subsequent uses. This was both dangerous and annoying. Heat in the oven was fairly even, but the right side definitely heated up more, necessitating a turn of whatever food I was cooking mid-bake.Problem: my sensor and control panel continued to fail. I would receive the F5 and F10 error messages approximately 6 weeks after the sensor/ control panel combo were replaced. The only way of shutting off the oven (and stopping the annoying error-beep) was to cut off power from the breaker box. I was advised by Electrolux that using self clean or operating the oven at a very high temperature for pizza or bread can cause the sensor to fail. This was obviously very frustrating.I'm hoping my new replacement unit is not a lemon like the first. If you can get a functional oven, you will get good results.

The moment I saw this oven on the showroom floor I knew it was the one. (Everything else in our remodel changed over time, but with this oven, I went with my first love.) And I love, love, love it still. We used it to bake a 22-lb. turkey at Thanksgiving and it was fabulous! I can't wait to try out all the features once the holidays are behind us. We bought the black model and it is beautiful. Our color accent is blue, so the blue interior and the blue clock light fit in perfectly. One small thing to mention is the digital clock light on the front is always on and at night is quite bright. As our oven is situated sideways and slightly back from the sitting and dining areas, this is not a problem, but if it were, say, within eye range while you were watching TV I think it could be a bit bothersome. Maybe there's a feature to lessen the brightness, but I don't think so.
