Made in China!!!

I received this GE cooktop and when I opened the box the right front edge of the product was crushed. The supplier promptly replaced it. The second Cooktop arrived and it had slight damage on the same right edge. There was a glue like substance all over the top panel. The control knobs did not align with the holes below. From a visual inspection, the cooktop looks sub-standard. It does work and I kept it because, I put it in a rent house that had renters moving in soon. If it were for my personal home I would have sent it back. It seems like everything I have bought lately, that had a Made in China label, I have had to return it or have had some issue. I will have second thoughts about buying a major appliance made in China.
