So Far It Is Great

This machine is the third portable ice maker in our home. The first two were "lemons." After reading many reviews, we decided to try this model. One thing that sold us on it was its self-cleaning feature. This model was more expensive than the first two, but so far we love it! It functions just the way it is supposed to, and it is much more quiet.

NOT the quality I expected

When I unpacked the ice maker, the sticker over the control panel was peeling off exposing the buttons, circuit board and LED. I had read this before on a review and thought it could simply be pressed back on. Not so. The buttons did not align with the sticker and i could turn the unit on, but not off. I didn't leave it on for more than a minute to check the buttons and had to unplug it to turn off. I never put water in it or tried it so I cannot comment on the function. If a design flaw as simple as the covering over a control panel cannot be fixed, I wonder about the integrity of the rest of the product. Returning and getting a new refrigerator instead...
