Very poor product in design.

I'm not sure what product the other reviews here are using, but it surely can't be this.After opening the package and reading the manual (yep I'm one of those that do that). I had my ice maker set up on the counter and was ready to make ice. The first thing I noticed was the ackward way you must put water into the unit... with a funnel. They include this funnel but it was still a bit odd at first to think this was required.After filling the unit with the necessary amount of water, I powered it on and began to see the unit function. I left it be to make ice for a while hoping to come back to a full hopper. This was definitely not what I came back to. When I returned the unit was no longer running, and what ice had been in the hopper had either melted to almost nothing or spilled out the front where it pours ice into a glass. That's right, I came back to a puddle in front of the unit and melted ice chips. There is no insulation where the ice comes out to pour into the glass so it allows the ice to melt very fast even right after it is made. The puddle was created to ice cubes that had rolled out of the dispenser and melted on the floor.As nice as the ice dispenser seems, do not purchase this product. This dispenser design ruins the functionality of the product.

Convenience Is Not Everything

Many people probably buy this due to the convenience of having a glass dispenser. I did. Don't be fooled.I have had mine for 8 hours now and regret it. Small Ice Cubes and small cube bin. Stops as full too low in inventory if you ask me. If you are having guests over and plan for them to use this, after the first 2 glasses it will be empty. Here is the kicker, its not insulated. So, if it is hot, the ice melts before the next cycle of cubes are completed. I had to "jump" start it with other ice cubes to get the "bin" cold enough to maintain the cubes made from cycle to cycle. Get a larger unit, with an insulated bin and ice scoop.

OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!

PRODUCES ICE IN A FEW MINUTES AND CONTINUES PRODUCING EVERY 6-7 MINUTES UNTIL BIN IS FULL.EASYDELIVERY OF ICE INTO A GLASS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROCUCT.
